The factors that determine your price

Custom embroidery is priced from a handful of variables. Once you understand them, it’s easy to estimate — and to keep costs down.

• Stitch count — the biggest factor. Bigger, more detailed designs use more stitches and cost more.
• Quantity — price per piece drops as your order size grows.
• The garment — the blank itself (a basic cap vs. a premium jacket) sets the base cost.
• Number of locations — a single left-chest logo costs less than left chest + back + sleeve.
• Digitizing — a one-time setup to convert your logo into a stitch file (more below).

Stitch count is the main driver

Embroidery is priced by how many stitches your design takes, which depends on its size and detail. A compact left-chest logo is the most affordable and most popular placement. Large back designs or highly detailed artwork use far more stitches and cost more per piece.

Digitizing (a one-time setup)

Before we can stitch your logo, it has to be “digitized” — converted into a file that tells the machine where to place each stitch. This is usually a one-time fee, and once your logo is digitized we reuse that file on every future reorder at no extra setup cost.

How to get the best price

• Order in bulk — the more pieces, the lower the per-piece price.
• Keep the logo simple — fewer tiny details means fewer stitches.
• Consolidate locations — one well-placed logo is more economical than several.
• Reorder — your digitized file is reused, so reorders skip setup.

Embroidery vs. printing cost
