The strongest apparel designs are clean and legible from a distance. Limit the number of colors, use bold shapes, and give your text room to breathe — busy, tiny details rarely read well on fabric.

Choose the right placement

• Left chest — classic for logos on polos, jackets and uniforms.
• Full front or back — best for bold graphics, events and team names.
• Sleeve — a subtle spot for a secondary logo, number or hashtag.

Pick colors that pop

Make sure your design contrasts with the garment — light ink on dark shirts, dark ink on light shirts. If brand colors matter, tell us the exact values and we’ll match them as closely as the method allows.

Match the method to the design

• Detailed logo or text on a polo/cap → embroidery.
• Bold, few-color graphic in volume → screen printing.
• Full-color or photo art, small runs → DTG or DTF.
